Engagement Season is Upon us!

Christmas is without doubt my favourite time of year.... even though I’m Really Not a fan of Winter! An Upthorpe Wood Christmas for us is ALL about family... and possibly chocolate!

Each year, myself and Allan work really hard at Upthorpe Wood in the months leading up to December. We try to accomplish as many of our Winter wedding jobs as possible by the end of November. All in the hope of giving ourselves the luxury of December off! That’s normally no mean feat, those of you who know us, know just how creative we get in those few months. Often working seven days a week, regardless if its raining or freezing cold.

This years jobs have included moving the bar area, re gigging the old bar area, building a brand new Cartlodge (perfect for outdoor dining) a new kitchen area, flooring the barn... oh and constructing a Large Woodland Deck... to say we’re whacked out is an understatement.

But guys, were almost done and ready for Engagement Season, which is just about to hit. We’ve already noticed an increase in our Upthorpe enquiries. We love hearing from couples who are looking for a truly unique woodland wedding.

December through to February is the busiest time of year for engagements ... and enquiries.

How many of you are expecting a small beautifully wrapped parcel under the tree this year?

For couples looking for a small engagement time and hoping for a 2020 wedding, keep your eyes on our Late Availability, Woodland Wedding dates, shown on the website or contact us for further information regarding your woodland wedding.

For those looking to book for a few years in advance , we are taking bookings for 2021 and 2022 at the moment. We always work on a first come first served basis to keep it fair. A Non Refundable Deposit of £1,500 will secure your wedding weekend and remove it from the list.

We will be announcing our next viewing dates for the end of January 2020 very shortly, so keep checking our social media and website. Our Viewing days are by held appointment only but please bear in mind that a Winter Woodland is nothing like as pretty or green as in the Summer. In fact during the Winter months we are brown, bare and very uninspiring.... So Be Warned, when you come to visit. However, for more inspirational photos, check out our weddings on Instagram!

So, anyone who is lucky enough to say YES this Christmas, get in touch. We’d love to hear your engagement stories.
