Is it possible to plan a wedding in just a few months?

Upthorpe Wood weddings

The answer is Yes.. Absolutely!

In fact, the less time you have to plan your wedding... the less overthinking you'll do=less stress. Here at Upthorpe Wood, we've had many wedding couples who've booked a date and planned their big day all within 12-16 weeks and all have said they were soooo glad they did it this way.

Let's face it, in the wedding world just as in the retail world... styles change quickly... like really quickly. One year it's pampas grass galore, the next it's bold and bright colourful flower displays.

Therefore, planning a wedding in a few months can work to your advantage... your chosen style won't be out of date by the time your wedding comes around. Imagine having anything up to three years of planning, without a doubt the style you like this year won't be the style you'll necessarily like next year!

So here's a few handy hints on planning a wedding within a couple of months:

1 Book your Registrar & caterer first, get the biggest jobs out the way!

2 Don't spend time overthinking every little style decision... I can assure you, on the day these things won't matter as much as you think they will.

3 Check out hire companies for decor/furniture, it's much easier than buying everything in. They will deliver and collect from site, freeing up your valuable time elsewhere.

4 Talk to you wedding venue, their expert advice will be invaluable.

5 A venues recommended wedding suppliers have experience working at your chosen venue, reducing the need for site visits/to-ing and fro-ing with venue questions.

6 Use the high street stores for clothing/dresses. No need for long wait times/adjustments. In the last few years, high street brands have really upped their game when it comes to bridalwear.

7 Keep your bridal party as small as possible!

And one BIG bonus if you're flexible with wedding dates... you'll be able to take advantage of those cheaper venue Late Availability dates on offer! Win Win!
